First artist release for Riddu Riđđu 2022

Following a successful 30th anniversary, we are now releasing the first artists for next year. At the same time we are opening ticket sales with 100 discounted tickets. After a year marked by heavy restrictions, we are ready to celebrate fully again next summer!

Lido Pimienta embraces her afro and indigenous background with music that challenges power, which is both rebellious, delicate and nostalgic at the same time. Her family is from both the Wayuu people and the Afro-Colombian community.

The Halluci Nation, formerly known as A Tribe Called Red, returns to Riddu Riđđu's stage with new music. The legendary First Nation group from Canada created the genre electric pow wow. Wherever they go, indigenous parties emerges.

Katarina Barruk is one of Sápmi's most popular vocalists, known for her atmospheric pop music that combines yoik and Umesámi lyrics. She has thrilled the Riddu audience on several occasions. Barruk's second album is just around the corner and fans can look forward to enjoying both old and new favorites at Riddu Riđđu next summer.

Amoc + Ailu Valle reunites with live band Trio Boogiemen for a hefty rap and heavy rock concert at the Riddu Riđđu festival in 2022. Fans of Riddu Riđđu can look forward to a set list of brand new songs in Inarisami and Northern Sami, and possibly a rehearsal with old favorites.

Elin & the Woods were set to play at Riddu Riđđu in 2021, but we are very happy that they will come here next year. Sámi artist Elin Kåven and songwriter / music producer Robin Mortensen Lynch began their musical collaboration in 2015. The music from this exciting duo is a catchy mix of electronic music with heavy rhythms and yoik. In 2020 came the debut album "Dárjja- Endure" with songs in both English and Sámi and with an exciting dose of yoik.

-We are highly motivated to create another festival, and excited to be able to offer festival camp and family camp again next summer, says festival director Sandra Márjá West.

Tickets are on sale at riddu.no. Riddu Riđđu is held 13-17. July 2022 in Kåfjord.
