New Festival Producer at Riddu Riđđu Festivála

We are excited to announce that we’ve strengthened our team with Ann Cecilie Hætta as our new festival producer. Ann Cecilie is a new face at Riddu Riđđu, and we’re truly looking forward to having her on board!
As festival producer, Ann Cecilie will be a key part of the team that plans and carries out the festival program.

She holds a degree in cultural project management from University of Inland Norway and in business administration from UiT The Arctic University of Norway. She has previously worked for Dølajazz and the Norwegian Festival of Literature. Ann Cecilie comes to Riddu Riđđu from a position at the Sámi Parliament, where she worked on recruiting Sámi-speaking students to higher education.

Ann Cecilie says:
"I feel incredibly lucky to become part of the Riddu Riđđu team. Having grown up in Nordreisa, I’ve attended the festival almost every summer, and it has become an important meeting place for me – a place where I’ve been able to connect with others and feel a sense of community. It means a lot to now be contributing to continuing this unique platform for Sámi and Indigenous culture. I’m really looking forward to getting started as producer and to creating powerful and meaningful experiences together with the rest of the team."

Festival Director Sajje Solbakk is very pleased with the hire:
"With Ann Cecilie, we’re gaining an experienced festival worker who will be a valuable addition to the Riddu team. And not least, we’re thrilled to welcome another Sámi-speaking member to the festival staff!"

Ann Cecilie will start her position as festival producer on July 1st and will therefore be part of this year’s festival. We’re very happy about that – please give her a warm welcome!
