Tanya Tagaq offer Riddu Riđđu vibe in March

We are incredibly excited to offer some of that patented Riddu Riđđu vibe already in March, when Tanya Tagaq finally returns to Olmmáivággi!

Tanya Tagaq is a singer, composer and bestselling Author. Hailing from Ikaluktutiak, Nunavut, Tagaq has her whole life been an unafraid and uncompromising fighter for the environment as well as Indigenous and human rights, with a razor sharp focus on challenges in postcolonial society.

In her music Tagaq blends throat singing with whispers, punk, metal and electronica, creating an incomparable musical expression. Tagaq explores artistic traditions with roots more than 10.000 years back in time, while at the same time inhabiting a completely contemporary sound.

Tanya Tagaq is a member of the Order of Canada, and recipient of the JUNO-award, Polaris Music Award and several honorary degrees. She is one of Canada’s most original and famous artists.

In Olmmáivággi Tagaq will be performing with percussionist Jean Martin and cellist Jeffrey Zeigler.

We’re super stoked to offer you this unique opportunity to escape the mid-week doldrums, and hope you will come join us for an artistic experience like no other!
