Elisapie
Elisapie is one of the world’s leading Indigenous artists, known for her powerful and distinctive voice - now she's ready to give you a show to remember!
She was born and raised in Salluit, Nunavik – a village so far north in Quebec that the only way to get there is by plane. As a teenager, she played with her uncles in the legendary Inuit rock band Sugluk, before moving to Montréal to pursue a solo career that has made her one of the most important voices in Canadian music - and far beyond.
Her music blends Inuit language and identity with folk, indie, and contemporary sounds. It has been described as beautiful, raw, and deeply personal. Her album The Ballad of the Runaway Girl (2018) received critical acclaim, won awards, and brought her to stages such as Tiny Desk, SummerStage in Central Park, and performances with the Orchestre Métropolitain under the direction of Yannick Nézet-Séguin.
This will undoubtedly be one of those concerts we’ll talk about and remember for a long time to come!
