How do we talk about sexual abuse and unwanted sexual attention in Sápmi? Everyone knows someone in their close family, relatives, at work or in their circle of friends who has been directly affected, either as a victim of violence, an abuser or next of kin. Yet it is not talked about enough.

Local communities around Sápmi seem paralyzed in the face of sexual abuse and unwanted attention. How can it be like that? What can we do to see change in Sápmi? And why do we have the same conversation over and over again?

Dávvet Bruun-Solbakk, Kátjá Rávdná Broch Einebakken and Beaska Niillas will meet in this conversation. The conversation is organized in collaboration with Nuorra Sámi Lávdi, the new youth series Oro jaska and Alfredfilm.

What is Lávvosáhka?
This year, Riddu Riđđu is launching a new concept, as a supplement to the seminar program: a conversation series called Lávvosáhka. These conversations will take place in the Bálddalávvus, and their purpose is to move away from Western models of discussion, and return to informal conversation.
