Sami music has always transcended borders and Sami musicians have always been borderless. Both in terms of cooperation over state borders and in terms of working within different genres. Additionally, many Sami musicians also work with other kinds of artistic expressions besides music. How well does public funding agencies suit the needs of Sami musicians?
