Yurt concert: Aldar Dashiev
Aldar Dashiev, born and raised in Buryatia, is a performer of authentic Buryat and Mongolian folk songs as well as of the ancient singing style of the Sartul. He plays the Mongolian vertical wind instrument “limbe” and the transverse wind instrument “suur-limbe”, made by his grandfather and handed down to him. It is in this instrument that a certain magical timbre lurks which inevitably takes you far away and closer to the spirit of our ancestors. All folk music lives on in our souls as it is passed down from generation to generation.
Dashiev has worked as a soloist at the Buryat State National Theatre of Song and Dance “Baikal” and as a teacher of folk vocals at the College of Arts P.I. Tchaikovsky. Aldar is currently studying “Canto rinascimentale e barocco” (Countertenor) at the Conservatory of Benedetto Marcello in Venice.
No pre-registration is necessary, audiences are let into the yurta on a first come, first served basis. Capacity: 30.
